What I Made This Week:

From the transcript: “And now I’d like to tell you about something I made this week. Last week, my husband and I made a pretty substantial bonfire. This past winter, we had some storms that came through with very heavy now. This resulted in a number of sizable tree limbs falling in our backyard. So we worked on breaking down the limbs and had a fire that evening. We brought the kids out and roasted marshmallows and snuggled up to watch the fire as it got dark. I’m so grateful that I can give them evenings like that one.”

Introduction

Hello and welcome to “How to Make a Memory,” the show that explores the items we make for one another and how they impact our relationships. My name is Jen Tierney and this week I get to chat with my friend Danielle who works at one of my favorite places, the library! Back in March, Danielle coordinated an event that brought makers in from our town to provide instruction to others in our community. It was an awesome idea and people loved it!

While Danielle isn’t a huge maker herself, I asked her to come be a guest because whenever I talk with her, we both end up in fits of laughter. I’m thrilled that I captured that fun banter here on the podcast for others to enjoy.

Conclusion

Danielle is an incredible asset for our community. She is passionate, fun, and committed to enriching the lives of those in our town. I hope that she makes the How To Fair into an annual event, although I have a feeling she’ll cringe to hear me say that. It took a tremendous amount of effort to pull off the event!

I’m looking forward to spending some extra time with Danielle next week, as she managed to rope me into the crochet class that she’s teaching. One thing’s for sure, it’ll be a lot of fun! I can’t say that it will be a Master class by any stretch of the imagination.
